Dr. Sharona Yashar graduated from the UCLA School of Medicine, and completed both a highly competitive Dermatology residency program and a Dermatopathology fellowship at UCLA. In addition to being a Board Certified Dermatologist, she holds a sub-specialty Board Certification in Dermatopathology, the practice of diagnosing skin biopsies under the microscope.

Dr. Yashar founded her practice in Southern California to provide exceptional medical care, aesthetic and surgical treatments, and excellent patient service in a warm and comfortable atmosphere. She started practicing in Culver City in 2011 after working in the Department of Dermatology at UCLA, where she became an expert on treating acne, rosacea, skin cancer, psoriasis, and hair loss.
